Brentwood Community
Middle School & High School Youth
The mission of our BCUMC Youth Ministry programs is to create disciples of Christ through a variety of learning activities in a fun and nurturing environment.  The Middle School & High School programs provide opportunities for the youth to put their faith into action by participating in various outreach ministries.

Youth (Middle & High School) Students:

  • Explore how faith and Christianity can be applied to their lives.
  • Meet in a recently renovated multi-media room designed by the teens.
  • Watch and discuss movies with a Christian message.
  • Participate in a mentor-based confirmation program.
  • Participate in intentional faith building/exploring small groups
    • MTJ (6th-8th grade specific small group)

All students are encouraged to participate in local and global missions:

  • Brentwood Community Chest—help sort food and toys during the holiday season
  • Sierra Service Project
  • H.O.P.E. House – Feeds the hungry in our community
  • School supplies & backpacks for low income children
  • Homeless outreach at Glide Memorial Methodist Church in San Francisco
  • United Methodists - Faith eXtreme
  • Idaho Mission Project
  • United Methodist Volunteers in Mission (UMVIM)
  • 30 Hour Famine

 Our Philosophy Follows John Wesley’s:

“Do all the good you can. By all the means you can. In all the places you can. To all the people you can.  As long as ever you can.”
